In one line: we measure photographs and explain what the measurements mean. We do not diagnose, we do not treat, and we are not a substitute for a doctor who can examine you.
01What this service is not
A facial analysis from The Face Clinic is not a medical consultation, not a diagnosis, and not a treatment plan. No one has examined you. No one has taken a history in a clinical setting. No one has ordered a test.
A specialist has read photographs and measured them against published reference ranges. That is genuinely useful, and it is not the same thing as being seen.
02It does not replace seeing a doctor
Nothing in your analysis should be used to diagnose a condition, to rule one out, to start or stop a treatment, or to delay getting seen.
If you have a health concern, see a qualified clinician in person. If something about your face has changed recently, asymmetry that was not there before, swelling, a lesion, numbness, pain, or a change in vision, treat that as a medical matter and get it looked at now, not after an analysis.
03Photographs have limits
A photograph flattens a face. Lighting, lens, distance and angle all change what a measurement reads, which is why we are specific about how the photographs are taken. Even taken well, a photograph cannot show what tissue is doing underneath, and it cannot replace an examination.
Where a measurement is uncertain, your specialist says so rather than rounding it into confidence.
04Recommendations are not prescriptions
Where your protocol mentions a procedure, a product or an intervention, that is information about what the research supports for the pattern seen in your photographs. It is not a prescription, not a referral, and not an instruction.
Anything clinical must be discussed with a clinician who can examine you and who takes responsibility for that care. We are not that clinician.
05If appearance is causing you real distress
If thinking about your appearance is taking hours of your day, or you are avoiding mirrors, photographs or people, a measurement will not fix that, and it can make it worse.
That is not a reason to feel foolish; it is common, it is recognised, and it responds to the right kind of help. Our specialists are asked to notice it and to say so, and we would rather lose the sale than sell you the wrong thing. Please speak to a doctor or a mental health professional.
06Emergencies
This service is not monitored for emergencies and we cannot respond to one. If you need urgent help, contact your local emergency services or go to a hospital.
